Dana White blasts 'ridiculous' Jake Paul v Mike Tyson fight

Dana White has slammed Jake Paul for agreeing to fight Mike Tyson in the first place.

The bout between the heavyweight legend and YouTuber had been due to happen on July 20 but it was postponed last week after Tyson suffered an "ulcer flare up" and the UFC boss has questioned why the event - which is now set to be held on November 15 - was happening anyway.

Speaking on the Flagrant podcast, White said: "If I brought up f****** Jake Paul, pretty much everybody in the room and the other room wants to see Jake Paul get knocked out.

"When this fight happens, Tyson will be 58 f****** years old.

"Under any circumstances, a f****** almost 60 year old man shouldn't be fighting a 27 year old f****** guy.

"Under any circumstances. Even if it's Mike Tyson, so it's f****** ridiculous."

White has been a persistent critic of Paul's career in the ring and pointed out that the social media star lost on the only occasion he faced a professional boxer in the form of Tommy Fury.

He said: "When he actually fought someone who was a boxer, who had the same type of record he has, who was his age, and who was his size, he f****** lost.

"So they're never going to go that f****** route again. I love Mike Tyson, but he's almost f****** 60 years old.

"My f****** back is killing me today, killing me. I have no idea why. I guess it's because I'm fifty f****** four."
