Vinicius Jr aiming to help Real Madrid win first treble

Vinicius Jr. is aiming to "create history" at Real Madrid by helping the club win their first treble.

Despite their immense success, the Spanish giants have never won La Liga, the Copa Del Rey and Champions League in the same season and the Brazilian forward is keen to consign that stat to the dustbin.

Vinicius told CNN: "Every year, our goal is to win every title we can.

"The Copa Del Rey always throws us off from winning the treble because you play against very tough teams throughout January, which is the period when there are the most games, so the cup competitions end up complicating things a bit.

"The Champions League comes first, which is the most difficult competition – followed by La Liga and then the Copa. Each one has its own pressure because the weight of the Champions League is because it's where Real Madrid always wants to win.

"Not only the players, the fans as well demand that of us, to win that competition, but our goal now is to try and win everything we enter and finally be able to win the treble."

Vinicius is nearing 200 Real appearances after arriving at the club in 2018 and hopes to keep playing for the club he dreamed of representing as a child.

He said: "I've always dreamed of playing for Real Madrid, so I cherish every moment like it was the last.

"Everyone wants to win for the best team on the planet, and to be able to play with the best and to be able to score so many goals in so many finals and to be able to help the team so much.

"I'm only 24 years old and I want to continue like this for much longer and to create history in this great team I play in today. Not everyone has the chance to do that, so I talk about enjoying every moment in this jersey."
