Daniel Dubois will use 'any means necessary' to beat Anthony Joshua

Daniel Dubois plans to defeat Anthony Joshua "by any means necessary".

The IBF heavyweight world champion will defend his title against his fellow Brit on Saturday (21.09.24) and wants to complete his career "resurrection" in the biggest fight of his life.

Dubois told reporters: "It’s a resurrection story, my career, and I’m just on a roll right now. I just want the biggest challenges, to make a name for myself, and to create history.

"(I will win) by any means necessary, whichever way it comes."

The fighter believes that he has the right mindset to defeat Joshua despite being less experienced on the big stage than his rival.

He said: "I’ve had the experience and I’ve had the ups and downs. I was all over the place back then (two years ago), now I’m more together and more secure in myself as a fighter."

Dubois is the underdog for the bout despite holding the world title but his promoter Frank Warren expects him to have enough to accomplish his dream.

He said: "For me, there’s nothing better than two Brits in the ring on a big night, sold out, it is gonna be something special.

"And Daniel, I do believe, is gonna show what he’s all about. I’ve believed in him since day one, and he’s come through everything – trials and tribulations, injuries, lots of things happening behind the scenes. Now he’s here with this belt, and he’s not going to let it go.

"He can fight, he can punch, he’s as big a puncher as – if not a bigger puncher than – AJ. Do not blink in this fight. From the first bell to the last, it’s gonna be something extra, extra special."
