Simone Biles reveals extent of calf injury at Paris Olympics

Simone Biles suffered a severe calf injury at the Paris Olympics.

A trailer for the second part of the Netflix documentary 'Simone Biles: Rising' documentary shows just how bad the issue that her coach Cecile Landi said had been causing the gymnastics great a "little pain" really was.

In a clip, Biles tells her coach: "My calf or something just pulled all the way."

Biles' former team-mate Aly Raisman also provided an insight into the severity of the Olympic icon's pain but revealed that she was desperate to carry on after missing a number of events at the previous Games in Tokyo after suffering from the twisties.

She said: "I asked, ‘How did you do it in so much pain?' And she said, ‘I couldn’t have people tell me I was a quitter again.’"

Biles pushed through the pain to add three Gold medals to her tally in Paris and previously explained how she was prepared to handle the adversity.

She told NBC News: "I’m a lot happier and I chose to do this. So, at the end of the day, whatever happens, happens. But I’m in a good spot mentally and physically, so you can’t take that away from me."

Biles also suggested that she could extend her glorious Olympic career in Los Angeles in 2028 as she hopes to compete at a home Games.

Asked about competing in LA, she said: "Never say never. The next Olympics is at home, so you just never know."
