Tim Tszyu will get 'better' after loss

Tim Tszyu has insisted his loss to Sebastian Fundora will make him “better”.

The 29-year-old boxer lost his super-welterweight title in March in a brutal fight that saw him bleeding from a head wound for most of the bout, but he’s not ashamed that he lost in the pay-per-view match.

He told Boxing News magazine: “There was no pain at all. No pain at all.

“I was able to show the world what I’m about in front of a global audience and that for me means a lot.

“I’m going to come back bigger and stronger. Everyone’s scared of losing, and then when you finally do have that first loss, you move on and get better.

“There’s no such thing as a silk road, a beautiful road to the very top of the mountain.

“There’s no such thing as that. There’s obviously going to be bumps and bruises and roadblocks, and you’ve just got to just push through.”

Tim is proud he didn’t “crumble” during the fight.

He added: “One thing’s saying and one thing’s doing. A lot of people can say this and that, but when it actually gets to the crunch, they crumble.

“I’m not a crumbler.

“Even though I lost, I was able to push through no matter what.”
