Kerstin Casparij thinks it is “very cool” to be part of ‘EA Sports FC 25’ – but she doesn’t play the game herself.

The 24-year-old right back is pleased the women’s game is now featured prominently in the popular video game but admitted she has only tried it once and getting “battered” by her brother made her refuse to pick up the controller again.

She told Match magazine: “It’s very cool, in such a big game, for the women’s sport to be recognised and included.

“I don’t play ‘FC 25’ myself.

“I once got battered by my younger brother and I rage-quitted and never recovered.”

The Dutch player thinks it is “very exciting” that her club Manchester City will be involved in the women’s Champions League this season.

She said: “[It is] very exciting. It’s been a long time since we played in a WCL group stage.

“We have a lot of young players, so having that experience as a team will only make us better in the upcoming years.”

As well as wanting to see her club do as well as possible this season, Kerstin admitted the side set a number of mini targets to keep themselves “focused”.

She said: “We want to stay in all the competitions for as long as we can and come away with silverware.

“We also have little targets throughout the season – like don’t concede for five games.

“It’s good to break it up to keep us all focused.”
