The Leicester Tigers lock thinks it is important to study his performances and takes notes to see what he can improve on in his next game.
He told Rugby World magazine: “I do rewatch games. I like to give myself a pretty honest review. That’s how I move forward.
“If I’ve played well or badly, I write down what I’ve learnt from it and then move on to the next.”
And George always knows when he is “slightly off it” on the pitch,
He said: “I know when I’m slightly off it, you can feel it as well on the pitch.
“When you’re thinking and not doing. When you’re playing, you’ve done all the work at the start of the week so you can just go and play at the weekend.
“You don’t want to be stood still or thinking for a second because then you miss your next job.”
While he always wants to win, the 23-year-old sportsman doesn’t go looking for a “big hit” for himself.
He said: “It all comes down to winning.
“Someone like [Chris Ashton] is obviously looking for his tries but I’m not really searching for a big hit.
“I just play the game and see what comes to me. I wouldn’t go searching.”
