The Spurs boss is under pressure with his team having only won one of their past seven matches in all competitions but remains defiant in the face of criticism of his ultra-attacking football.
Speaking to TNT Sports before Spurs take on Rangers in the Europa League on Thursday (12.12,24), Postecoglou said: "I’ve been pretty fortunate to have some success but it’s the one constant. There’s always times where there are doubts and concerns and people questioning what you’re doing.
"I’ve never really been bothered by that in terms of it allowing me to be distracted from what I know is important.
"They wrote me off after five weeks in Scotland and that turned out alright. It’s only taken 18 months down south for people to write me off.
"That’s OK, I enjoy the fight, I enjoy the battle, I enjoy when the doubts are there and you stay strong and find a path forward. I’m still loving every minute of what I do and where I’m at and we all feel like strong sense of responsibility to get this club where it wants to be."
Postecoglou's unwavering commitment to his tactics have been questioned by pundits but he points out that the situation is flipped when his teams are doing well.
The Australian coach said: "When I do have success, people see me as a person of principle and use that as a label to show why I’ve been successful and yet that’s used against me in difficult times.
"I can only be who I am and can only do what I believe. I believe it to my core, I live and breathe it. For better or worse, from what it looks like on the outside, I’ll always stick to the path I think is best for the club I’m with."
