The IBF heavyweight world champion had been expected to fight his compatriot again in February 2025 but will now take on Joseph Parker instead and has questioned if his rival really wanted to step into the ring once more following his bruising defeat in September.
Dubois told BBC Sport: "I don't think Joshua was ready for it. Where is AJ? I can't find him. I've been looking for AJ but I can't find him. On to the next one now.
"Parker's been on a good run, he's experienced and a veteran.
"I just have to be faster and better than him in every department. I think I'll do a job on him but it will be a good fight."
Dubois will be ringside at the heavyweight title bout between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk in Saudi Arabia on Saturday (21.12.24) and is hoping to get the chance to make amends for his loss to the Ukrainian in 2023.
The fighter said: "I'd be happy [to fight Fury] but I'd love to fight Usyk after what happened in Poland and the history behind it. I'd love to get that back and do a rematch.
"I don't think he would say no to business. Money talks in boxing and it would be a huge fight to get that back, to right that wrong.
"I'm the world champion and he's got the other belts to make it [an] undisputed [fight]."
Dubois believes that Usyk will beat Fury for a second time as he is "fighting for his country".
He said: "As a fellow Brit I want Tyson to win, because of everything he has done in the game. You have to respect that. But something is telling me that Usyk is going to do it again. Usyk just has luck on his side and he has skills. He has the backing of his people and is fighting for his country."
