Mohamed Salah: Liverpool are better equipped for this season's title bid

Mohamed Salah admits that Liverpool's Premier League title challenge has a different feel this season.

The Reds sit six points clear at the top of the table after an impressive 2-0 victory against in-form Bournemouth at the weekend and the forward believes that the club are in a better position after their near-miss last year.

Salah said: "Yeah, I think (it feels) slightly different but last season we were also very close but again, as I’ve said before we need to stay humble and just take it each game at a time.

"Focus on each game. We don’t have to think further, just think about each game."

Salah surpassed 20 league goals for the season with his brace against the Cherries and is pleased to be making a strong contribution to his team's title tilt.

The Egyptian said: "It feels good to be fair, scoring goals, the team winning, it’s an incredible feeling. But I said it many times before that my main target this season is to win the Premier League with the team. We are going in the right direction so hopefully we can keep going like this."

Liverpool were indebted to goalkeeper Alisson for their victory and Salah paid tribute to his "incredible" colleague between the sticks.

He said of the Brazilian shotstopper: "Incredible, incredible. He knows how important he is for us. We have been together six or seven years here, I’ve been with him for two years in Rome as well.

"We know each other very well. He works very hard, also the defensive line works very hard so I am happy for them."
