The 35-year-old boxer claimed the Matchroom CEO, 45, had attempted to stop him from “saying anything negative about promoters” during his media conference for his bout against Benn, 28, but Hearn insisted that wasn't the case.
Responding to Eubank Jr.’s comments at a London press conference on Thursday (02.27.25), Hearn said: “Absolutely not, you are getting sued by other promoters, not me.
“You have got that well wrong. That is another thing you have got wrong alongside dressing yourself this morning.”
Eubank Jr. had been sued by Frank Warren of Queensberry after he labelled him as and other promoters as “scumbags” at the Dmitry Bivol vs Artur Beterbiev press conference last year.
At the press conference, Eubank Jr. described Hearn as a “worm” who has “built his entire career about talking s*** about people”.
He said: “If you guys want to hear something really funny, this worm [Hearn] tried to put in my fight contract that I couldn't say anything negative about promoters during this press conference.
“This guy has built his entire career about talking s*** about people and he's going to insert a clause that I can't say anything bad about him. That is who we are dealing with.”
Earlier this week, tensions boiled over when Eubank Jr. slapped his opponent across the face with an egg during their head-to-head media conference in Manchester.
After the incident, Benn erupted with anger, with both boxers having to be held back by security guards.
The pair are set to face one another in the ring at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on 26 April.
