The Gunners are now 15 points behind leaders Liverpool at the top of the table after a 1-1 draw with Manchester United on Sunday (09.03.25) but the coach will not say that his team's hopes of becoming champions are over.
Arteta said: "I don’t want to say that, but today the frustration is that we haven’t won our game, we know the urgency and you’re obligated to win every single match. You won’t have any chance without doing that. I don’t think it’s the right moment to talk about that."
Arsenal's lack of goal threat was evident once again during the match and Arteta bemoaned the lack of cutting edge that prevented his team from taking home the three points.
The Spanish manager said: "Today the efficiency we had in the last 20 metres wasn’t good enough. We know that. To come to Old Trafford and do what we did was superb but you have to capitalise and today we didn’t and then we have to overturn a result and you know how difficult that is here."
Gunners midfielder Declan Rice scored his team's equaliser and echoed his manager's stance by vowing that Arsenal will not give up until the end of the season.
The England international said: "Like the manager said, we'll keep going until the end of the season.
"Liverpool have been amazing all year. We're Arsenal. We've been hit hard by injuries. We'll keep going and we'll be alright."
