The Swedish golfer claimed his second PGA Tour title last month and securing victory early in the season has given him hunger for the months to come.
He told Golf Monthly magazine: “It’s really nice getting off to a good start.
“Obviously the season is long, but all we try to do is play as well as we can and prepare as well as we can for every tournament.
“It sort of takes away a lot of the early pressures, if you will. You don’t have to chase things.
“Getting a win means a lot to me and that’s why I was pretty bummed I didn’t win a tournament last year, but it’s really nice to be able to do it again.
“It’s almost addictive to walk down those last couple of holes and I just want to do it again.”
Two weeks before the Genesis Invitational, the 25-year-old sportsman had withdrawn from Pebble Beach due to illness and he admitted it was “nice” to be feeling himself again.
He said: “I don’t like pulling out of tournaments but I felt like I had to at Pebble to give myself some time to recover and be ready.
“I felt like I wasn’t really myself, wasn’t feeling great, wasn’t swinging great and struggled a bit at home with how I was playing.
“It was nice to turn up and start to feel like myself again. It means a lot to win. This is the best feeling in golf.
“To be able to do what I did is definitely going to help me going forward.”
