The 31-year-old sportsman is always grateful to have Greg with him on the green because he makes his life “a lot easier” with his positive attitude and responses.
He told Golf Monthly magazine: “He’s just such a big support system.
“He’s been like a rock-solid individual whether I’m hitting it bad or hitting it good.
“He’s just so even-keeled and that’s what I need out there on the golf course, somebody who can just take care of the situations we go through and know how to react positively.
“Greg is someone who can just make my life a lot easier – the way he talks, the timing of his words, he’s just found the right rhythm that works for me and what we both need as a group.”
Bryson is keen to secure a career Grand Slam but needs three more Major wins to do so, and thinks he’ll struggle most with one event in particular.
He explained: “The British Open is going to probably be the most difficult one, but the one I hopefully will want to win the most.
“The style of golf is just difficult for me.
“It’s not something I’m used to.
“I didn’t grow up in it and so I’m getting more comfortable with links golf as I play more and more Opens.
“This past year I learned a lot about my game in those kinds of courses and conditions and I’ll continue to get better over the course of time.”
