The 35-year-old boxing sensation avoided talking to Chris after he restricted how much involvement one of Britain's best super-middleweight boxer of all time - who trained and menotored him - had on his career.
However, when they did eventually reconnect, the 2015 'I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!' campmate was quick to slam his son's actions - of which they both do not condone - when he and Conor came face-to-face at the launch press conference for their upcoming match at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on April 26.
Eubank Jr. told Ring Magazine: "I spoke to him briefly a few weeks ago, and I said exactly that.
"He said, 'You shouldn't have done that, I don't condone that.' And I don't condone it either.
"I don't think anyone should attack or hit or do anything to like that to an opponent.
"But I did it for a genuine reason, a real reason, it was a statement, it wasn't an act of violence."
The International Boxing Organisation middleweight title holder revealed to his dad that he would "one day" pen a book, and wanted to reference the egg slam.
However, Eubank said no.
He explained: "My thing was, I said to him, 'I'm [going to] write a book one day', and if he was still by my side advising and leading everything I did like he did at the start of my career, then in the book it would say, 'I thought about hitting Conor with an egg, but my dad told me no so I didn't do it'.
"That's what I would've written, and nobody gives a s*** about that story.
"The story now, whether it was wrong or right, the story is - I did it, and it made worldwide news, so for better or for worse, it's my story."
However Eubank Jr. is following his choices and decisions, and he wants to be able to write it down.
He added: "It's my path, it's what I chose to do, and as a man, that's what I want to be able to write down.
"The things I'm doing are my own choices, they're my decisions to make, they're my successes and they're my failures, and I can live with that."
