The 25-year-old golfer – who has won six Ladies European Tour titles and one LPGA Tour title – thinks she’s grown comfortable with the courses over the last few years by playing “as much golf as possible” and she’s hoping 2025 will see her boost her ranking with a high-profile win.
She told Golf Monthly magazine: “Every year, my goal is to win, especially on the LPGA Tour and I really want to win a Major.
“That’s my main focus this year.
“I’m planning my schedule around the five women’s Majors, to set myself up for as good a chance as I can walking into those weeks.
“Obviously you never know what’s going to happen but I want to make sure that I feel rested and ready to go.
2For the last two years, I’ve played as much golf as possible to get to know the courses on the professional tours.
2I’ve been showing up somewhere for the first time while the majority of the girls already know the layout.
“You learn something new each year, but this year I want to focus on improving my ranking and to do that, I’ll need to play well at the Major Championships.”
Linn knows winning a Major will take a lot of “mental and physical” energy.
She said: “The Majors are way more of a grind than any other week, more of a mental marathon than a regular tournament…
“Anything can happen during those four rounds and one good round can shoot you up the leaderboard, so you have to learn to be patient.
“But patience alone isn’t enough. The Majors can throw curveballs.
“For example, having to battle wind and rain on a links course at the AIG after playing three straight events up to that point.
“You have to come in with a lot of energy, both mentally and physically.”
