The 26-year-old golfer bagged victory at the Texas Children's Houston Open last month and while it was a “very mentally grinding” competition, he’s relieved everything “aligned” for his victory.
He told Golf Monthly magazine of his win: “It was very mentally grinding but I’m super proud to win. It was just a very tough week.
“I mean, I had a lot of eyes on me, obviously.
“I had a four-shot lead going into the last round and I was very tired, which helped me go to sleep on Saturday, but I woke up and couldn’t go back to sleep on Sunday.
“It was one of those where I just think everything aligned. I’m so proud to have won.”
The win places Min Woo within the top 30 in the FedExCup standings and the golfer is pleased to be ticking off his ambitions for the season.
He said: “That’s awesome. I mean, I’ve been playing a lot of good golf recently.
“To get closer to the final top 30, that’s one of the goals I had in mind at the start of the season.
“Winning a tournament was one of those goals too and I’m happy to check that off.
“Again, I’m just so proud of what I was able to achieve.”
