Giorgio Visioli wants multi-weight wins

Giorgio Visioli wants to be a multi-weight world champion.

The 22-year-old super-featherweight has big plans for his career and not only wants to make it to the top of his own current weight class, but he plans to move up the divisions as time passes.

Asked what success means to him, he told Boxing News magazine: “Success looks like being a world champion. But I want to be a different-weight world champion, go up the weights – super-feather, lightweight, then whatever I can do after.”

Giorgio is hugely inspired by the work ethic of boxing legend Floyd Mayweather and football sensation Cristiano Ronaldo.

Discussing his inspirations, he said: “Floyd Mayweather and Cristiano Ronaldo, just on work ethic.

“I like to implement that into my fights, into my training. Just work hard, consistency.

“Ronaldo never drank or anything, I like to do the same…

“I love the way [Floyd] boxes and moves and doesn’t get hit. That sounds cliched but that’s what I like.”

Giorgio understands why some boxers go looking for “treat” foods but he tries to be careful with his diet.

Asked his post-fight meal, he said: “I like to have some chicken, some pasta, just carb up really.

“After the weigh-in I still eat healthy.

“A lot of people go straight and have pizza. I get it’s carbs, but that’s a treat and you haven’t won anything yet.”
