Amada Colossos Resort plans exciting chef collaboration

Amada Colossos Resort will welcome “nomad chef” Andreas Lagos this September.

The resort will introduce a celebration of traditional Greek cuisine through the guest chef's collaboration with Executive Head Chef, Konstantinos Vasileiou.

The partnership has been designed to showcase the rich cuisine and local produce of both chefs’ Dodecanese heritage and will celebrate the natural flavours of Greek cuisine reliant on local producers.

Lagos was born and raised on the island of Samos on a farm where as a child he grew his own vegetables.

He collaborates with restaurants, hotels, and delicatessens, writes recipes for magazines and gastronomy publications and presents on the popular Greek TV show 'Pop Cooking'.

Vasileiou was raised on the Greek island of Evia and has enjoyed a prolific career with multiple certifications and awards from Greek and international culinary institutions including a Medal in the 2008 IKA/Culinary Olympics: the oldest, largest and most diverse international culinary arts competition in the world.

Vasileiou is also introducing a programme of monthly gastronomy events aimed at showcasing and supporting local producers, and to educate guests about Rhodes’ specific culinary culture.

Events will include wine tastings with local producers, farm-to-table offers with local recipes, and educational activities about food waste for children.
