Montcalm Mayfair reopens after two-year renovation

The Montcalm Mayfair has reopened following a two-year renovation.

The luxury boutique hotel in London has undergone a refurbishment led by award-winning architects Holland Harvey and interior designers Studio Est and Studio Mica.

The restoration preserves the building's historical integrity whilst incorporating sustainable design and modern amenities.

The refurbishment of the hotel – which sits proudly in the heart of London's most prestigious neighbourhood – includes a wellness sanctuary, community-welcoming public spaces and a signature restaurant by the acclaimed chef Akira Back.

In keeping with all Autograph Collection hotels, Montcalm Mayfair celebrates its own distinct design honouring its Georgian roots, the hotel combines rich historical narratives with modern sophistication, celebrating individuality, creativity and sustainability.

The Montcalm Experience flows through all aspects of the hotel, with a central theme celebrating The Garden – a homage to the site's ancient forest origins and Georgian garden design heritage.

It includes floral motifs and nature-inspired elements and weaves its way through three distinct yet harmonious aspects – The Art of Play, A Conversation Piece and The Salon.

The Montcalm Mayfair offers 151 thoughtfully crafted guest rooms, including three signature suites.

The crown jewel, the Botanical Suite, offers guests London's only fully private hotel suite experience, complete with its own entrance.

The Presidential Suite pays homage to Elizabeth Montagu's legendary salon culture and features rare works by Joan Miro, while the Royal Suite houses an expertly curated collection of lithographs and modern artworks.

Elsewhere, the hotel's charismatic dining venue – Lilli by Akira Back – offers a modern take on British cuisine with global influences.

The menu blends Michelin-starred Akira Back's Korean heritage with contemporary Japanese techniques, celebrating seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.

Meanwhile, the Yatra Signature spa offers a holistic wellness experience that is inspired by the ancient Ayurvedic wisdom and London's multicultural heritage.

There are also several social spaces, including the Grand Ballroom that accommodates up to 350 dinner guests while more intimate areas include The Library and Bloom private dining room.
